CLIENT BRIEF:A single-level, two-bedroom retreat outside the intensity of Canggu, offering openness, serenity and strong rental appeal. Natural tones and a calming atmosphere were essential. OUR APPROACH:We selected a quiet 4-are plot framed by rice terraces, ideal for an expansive ground-level layout. The design emphasises simplicity and warmth, with natural materials, generous glazing and soft palettes. A pitched roof with traditional wooden tiles grounded the home in Balinese craft as well as giving a sense of airiness throughout. THE RESULT:A tranquil, light-filled residence that balances rental performance with a restorative escape for both owner and guests.
